Fruit

Fruits are the matured and ripened ovaries of plants, that are edible after ripening.  It is the seed-bearing structure of the gymnosperm plants or the flowering plants. Fruit are produced from the ovary, after pollination and fertilization. The important fruit crops are Mango, Banana, Guava, Citrus, Apple, Grape, etc. 

Classification of fruits

Fruits can be classified into different categories based on different aspects like cotyledon type, the climate where the fruit is grown, type of fruits, nature of respiration, etc.
